Planning to celebrate Cracker Night 2025 with Type 2 fireworks in Tasmania? Applications for Type 2 Fireworks Permits will open mid-March 2025. Don’t miss out—subscribe to our mailing list now, and we’ll send the permit application straight to your inbox as soon as they’re available.
Follow these simple steps to apply:
1. Download and Complete Your Permit Application

• Once applications open, download the Type 2 Fireworks Permit form. Fill it out with your details.

2. Submit Your Application

• Take your completed application to your nearest Service Tasmania Centre. (List of Service Tasmania Centres)

3. Wait for Approval

• Permit approvals typically take 5-7 business days and are sent via email or phone. Be sure to check your junk folder before contacting WorkSafe Tasmania for updates.

2. Order Fireworks

ORDERING IS EASY!!

• The fastest way to buy fireworks for Cracker Night in Tasmania is through our Online Fireworks Shop, which will open early April 2025. When the season opens in April, you can also order by calling, SMS (0429 640 715) or emailing us.
• HOT TIP: You can place your fireworks order before submitting or receiving approval for your Type 2 Fireworks Permit. Don’t wait—stock sells out quickly!
• While a limited range of fireworks will be available to buy at our pickup depots, we strongly recommend placing your main order online to secure your favourites.
• Get ready to celebrate Cracker Night 2025 with Tasmania’s best selection of fireworks! Keep an eye out for updates on our shop opening date.

3. Collect Your Fireworks

• Collect or pick up your fireworks from one of our many pickup depots across Tasmania—your convenient, pop-up Fireworks Shop! Please note, our depots will carry a limited range of fireworks, so it’s best to place your main order online to avoid missing out on your favourites.
• Our pickup depots will open in early May 2025. Check out our list of depot locations across Tasmania here.
Payment Information:
• You’ll only pay for your fireworks on collection day via cash or card. Just bring your approved Type 2 Fireworks Permit and ID when you pick up your order.
• Make sure to order online for the best selection and ensure you have everything you need for an unforgettable Cracker Night celebration!
